“ After spending 5 days in Queenstown and arriving in Auckland, this was my first meal here—and I was seriously craving Korean food. I ordered the cabbage pork bone soup and the spicy pork stir fry, and both dishes were absolutely delicious and authentic. Speaking as someone who ks Korean, the flavors were spot on. The cabbage and radish kimchi were exceptional—honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. The elderly couple who run the place were also really kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're after legit Korean food in Auckland ”
“ I really enjoyed the chicken nibbles and lamb soup. It was a great little spot that was quiet and delicious. I suggest stopping here if you want some food. The person serving the food and taking orders was very nice. ”
“ Got the pork bone soup and I would say it’s totally worth the price!! As you see in the picture,it’s stackeddd uppp. Could be enough even for two person honestly. Service was also good. They were really nice and friendly. Food came less than 5 minutes. Will come back again 10/10 ”
“ ~$20/person We had the mixed pork, lamb, and pork bone soups and all of them were DELICIOUS! The broths were incredibly flavourful, the taste was very much like what I've had in Korea, and the restaurant is run by an older Korean couple. There was a bit of a mix up with my table getting their order later than other tables but that was fixed promptly and the owners were very apologetic. Fantastic service and I will be coming back for sure! ”
“ After many meals of pies and fish & chips, we were all craving some hearty Asian good. That's when we walked past this Korean restaurant specialising in soups. We entered with anticipation but was indicated via sign language that they did not have a high chair. So we left and walked around the area a bit more, but our hunger influenced our decision to just have our toddler sit on the bench along the wall. We decentered the restaurant and sat along the wall. The interior was quite clean and we noticed the instructions written high on the opposite wall, detailing how to enjoy the various soups. So we decided to order one of each type. The beef bulgogi arrived first and it was really good, but my daughter noticed that the mushrooms (on the menu) was missing and she was really looking forward to that. The second soup was the lamb, it came with a dipping sauce. The soup had a nice strong lamb flavour. The last soup was the mixed pork which did not look anything like what's in the picture. The soup only had one kind of meat and it tasted like beef, a bit chewy as well. It disappointed my son since he wanted the pig ears and offals. Overall, the flavours of the soups were good, but the mixed pork soup either did not come or showed up in a different format. The lady (owner I assumed) also looked a bit grumpy, possibly not expecting children at the restaurant. ”
“ Nice little place for Soup during a cold day. Portion just nice for a small eater. Kimchi pork soup was good and Roe soup was unique and special as you seldom get it anywhere. Interesting disposable cup for self service water. ”
“ This is one of the cleanest Korean restaurants on Upper Queen Street. Good range of traditional Korean bone broth soups available. Though, the dishes I ordered is a bit too sweet for my liking. They did however, tasted healthier (no overpowering flavours) and more like a home made version. The kimchi was delicious and fermented well. The lady who served us seem to know limited English. But she was welcoming and friendly, which was super cute ”
“ PORK BONE SOUP - must have dish here. The perfect place for a cold rainy day for some Korean soup to warm up the tummy. The pork bone soup had very generous portions of meat within. It is a Korean dish which you have to rip the pork meat off the bones and they provide you with gloves for you to use for this purpose and a bone Bowl. Had with a bowl of rice and complimentary side dishes was delicious. Very peaceful environment to be within with classical music playing and murals of Korean traditional plants and descriptions of their dishes up and about. The staff were friendly. Will be back again! ”
